Race Card 101 Cheltenham Festival 2018

With the Irish looking to have a formidable team heading over to Cheltenham, it is certainly a festival to savour with a number of stars on show. One horse that is never too flashy but is a superstar is the mare, Apple’s Jade. The 6-year old seems to have been around forever as she continues to perform at the top level.  Her incredible record now stands at 10 wins and 4 seconds from her 14 starts to date. The consistency and toughness of the mare has always been apparent which is why she heads to Cheltenham as one of the shortest-priced favourites and a banker for many.
The latest Cheltenham betting on the Mares hurdle has her as the 4/6 market leader with her only viable rival looking to be the Willie Mullins former festival winner Let’s Dance. She is another mare of the highest calibre but she will need to improve dramatically if she is to trouble the favourite. Check out this infographic below to decipher what key points to look out for on a race card ahead of the festival.
